I Don't Need No Education....I Don't Need Your Blog Control!

I rarely check my other email accounts outside of my work accounts. Today, I decided to clean out a few of my accounts and stumbled upon an email written last week. The author of said email was questioning my blog writing style and urging me to return my focus to freelance writing, "as writing informative posts on freelance writing was the only area showcasing any talent."  He even went as far as to "encourage" me to change the name of this blog if I was going to continue filling it with "nonsense and junk" postings. I find that funny as I just posted my intents of switching this blog to a mommie type blog and focusing the Write at Home Mommie blog on freelance writing. But still, this email insulted me.

These types of emails and comments always make me wonder why people feel the need to respond in this manner. Opinions on post topics are always welcomed but directly insulting me and then telling me what to include in my blog, how to cover the suggested topic and even what to name my blog if I am not going to write solely on this topic leads me to question the audacity of these individuals.

In the beginning, I said this blog was my first and I would be playing around with many different topics until I found my niche and got the hang of the whole blogging concept. Hence, the "Little Bit of Everything Else" in the title.

I can see my stats. Some days I have two views...some days I have forty. I know this blog is not making some grand impact on society today. I know my ramblings on my life, family and writing career are not going to turn me into one of the professional blogger success stories.

However, the posts I publish here do make me feel better because working random thoughts into a blog post requires some sort of organization. It helps put my thoughts, actions, plans, and ideas into perspective. And for now that is enough.

Further more, if you don't like what I am saying here...if my posts are really that "boring and moronic"....if you feel my "mindless journal entries about kids, husband, crafts, and recipes" are that terrible...then

DON'T READ THIS BLOG!!!

Because frankly, it will not bother me in the least. I am more offended by the email than the loss of a blog viewer (or is it blog judge) at Freelancing Mommie.
