Yep, here it is! My very first blog. Most of you are thinking mommie ends with a y but hey this is a creative blog so I decided to play off my name (Missie) and go for the gusto! Definitely not the best blogger in the world but hopefully not the worst either. I guess the best place to start is to introduce myself and what this blog is all about.
First of all, I am married to the great and wonderful Jason...the only bundle of testosterone in our family of five. Together, we have three beautiful, intelligent daughters...Lyndsey (8), Lorrie (6), and Lilianna (2). All of my inspiration goes to the four of them! Currently, we are trying to conceive and hoping for a boy to swing a little bit of these hormones is poor Jason's favor.
I am lucky enough to be a stay at home mommie (sadly, the oldest two are in school four days per week) while bringing in a steady income as a freelance writer. Nope, I will not admit to being rich or even being able to afford all of our bills and expenses alone but my income does put a nice dent in our debt and pays for many of the extras.
I love to create: writing, scrapbooking, photography, crafting with my children, decorating, paiting and etc. I love to cook, add my own touch to familiar dishes and invent new recipes. All of this creativity tends to lead to a less structured lifestyle. It's just not in my blood to live life by a carefully planned schedule with perfectly mannered, obedient children and a perfect prince of a husband in a time managed, perfectly organized house. Although, when it is work time, I do tend to lean toward a more structured timeframe. I'll share with you my daily writing agenda at a later date.
And I am an avid researcher. I hit the internet looking for information in every life circumstance that arises. Very out of character with my normal personality but gives me lots of knowledge to spread around in my articles and to my family and friends.
This blog is going to focus on everything to do with the three main areas of my life: wife, mommie and freelance writer. I figure there are many, many women like myself out there in web land with the same priorities so why not make a one stop shop for us all?
